The Yorkshire Enduro Club announce the dates for the 2011 Ryedale Rally and invite European riders to enter. The 2 day event is aimed at big trail bikes like HP2, BMW GS, Super Tenere, XR650, Africa Twin, KTM Adventure and dakar bikes. Classics and twinshock bikes are welcome too. The course runs through forests and across moors and uses public road to link. It is easy for an enduro rider but challenging for a trail rider. There is camping and catering at the start area and loads of accommodation nearby. The countryside is beautiful - and the sun always shines (well almost always).

Try it, you'll hate it. I never look at the actual backpacking part of TNP adventures as fun. It's work and a lot of it. But it gets where you need to go and you arrive with the gear that makes the system work. To kick off ORS, I have us hump our gear in over steep desert terrain. That sets the stage of understanding in a testing protocol, gets the shooter tired, and brings understanding to systems. With Matt from Troy and PFIDude in tow, we hit the slopes. Along the way I have them do some impromptu engagements as well, with both rifle and handgun. I'm pretty sure they'd get into position faster if being shot at. Matt's project DPMS starts to choke (later retired from the event), the M1A has one FTF off a full magazine. More lessons and data are absorbed as we continue up the rocky slopes and finally make it to the camping area for the multi-day OPERATION RED SKIES. .////////////////////////////////Music specifically licensed to TNP from Adventure Club.
